Vered Sobel, MD
received her medical degree from New York
Medical College. After completing her Internal
Medicine internship at the Long Island Jewish
Hospital, she completed additional three years
of residency in ophthalmology at the State
University of New York. Her training included
yet additional training in cornea and anterior
segment sub-specialty at the University of
Missouri. During this time, Dr. Sobel received
extensive training in performing corneal
surgeries including corneal transplants and
refractive surgeries.
Dr. Sobel is a Board Certified eye surgeon and a
diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
She is an active fellow of the American Academy
of Ophthalmology, and she is also a member of
the American Society of Cataract and Refractive
Surgery. Her ophthalmology practice provides a
comprehensive care from medical diseases such as
diabetic eye diseases, glaucoma management and
cataract surgery to highly specialized fields of
the cornea like Fuchs' Dystrophy and corneal
transplants. As a cornea specialist, Dr. Sobel
is performing a variety of corneal surgeries
including a multitude of corneal refractive
surgeries.
Dr. Sobel brings the latest advances in eye care
right here to Rutland, Vermont. Her office is
equipped with state of the art diagnostic and
minor procedures devices while major operations
such as cataracts; corneal transplants are
performed at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
